Greetings From the Oregon Coast!
I found this forum quite by accident, and have (also) found it to be most useful.
I've always had an interest in European Trains (German in particular), and most recently was able to acquire an 0 scale Rivarossi V160 and a couple of passenger cars, as well as a Lima "Interfrigo" car.
I'm not sure what my "long term" plans may be, but in the meantime, I'm enjoying those items and this forum very much!

No worries. My French is not good, so I guess that makes us even.
Have since picked up a few more freight cars (wagons) and am currently working on trying to come up with a coupler system that looks better than those huge plastic things that these cars come with. Will keep you posted.

Hi Mark
Great to see that you have an interest in European Trains.
For couplers, there are many different solutions possible :
1) set-up the original looking screw couplers
2) Use US style couplers (MTH or Kadee)
3) Use NEM 365 European couplers
This Web_Site in German offers some good explanations.
The advantage is that these couplers can me motorized so that you can actuate them while controlling the loco over DCC.
For my part, I am using a mixture of 1) and 3)
Kind regards
Valery
